Personal Music Television...

Here's a clever mash-up idea between and youtube that I was e-mailed about.

It basically plays videos that tie in to your musical taste on or, if you prefer, a favourite artist.

Here's my profile as a starter but mess around with it yourself:

The Felice Brothers report...

What a show in The Sugar Club last night! Fred got up on stage with other members of the audience for the final shindig (above left). We met all the Felice Brothers and had a good chat with accordian/keyboard player James afterwards in the smoking area. Despite magazine talk these guys never heard Dylan's Basement Tapes! James did have good memories of listening to SLOW TRAIN COMING growing up, though.

Anyway, these guys put on a hell of a show and I can't enthuse enough about them. You gotta catch these guys when they play near you. Highlights were many, with a the solo performance on "St. Stephen's End" resonating most.

Second photo (top right) shows Jim with James Felice having a smoke before the show. What a talent!
On a personal note it was great to meet up with Philip, Francesca, Tom, Sean D, Marc, Elaine, Gerry and Brian.

The widget...

I've noticed that the pink widget on the right sometimes does not display a play button due to "not enough content". This shouldn't happen (there is enough content). To overcome it just refesh your page.

Of course, if you don't want to play music this won't affect you.

The Felice Brothers...

I'm off to see The Felice Brothers in Dublin to-morrow along with Fred & Jim. Should be a great gig.

The 2 albums I have of these guys are bloody great.

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart...

Presently watching the excellent Daily Show on MORE4 and it just struck me that there is nothing like this on Irish or British tv, which is a great shame as both countries are ripe for some sharp political satire.

A great pity.

Very 1st Post...

Welcome to my first ever blog. I'll just be using this to put up stuff that might be interesting. We'll see how it goes.
